School Bows "Made Bayou"

School is starting this week and if you have little girls you know how much buying bows can cost....  Why buy bows when you can make your own for MUCH less.
Here are a few easy steps to make the perfect bow and ponytail ribbons!!!!!

To make Ponytail Ribbons is the easiest.....  Pick 2 or 3 or 4 different Grosgrain Ribbons and cut 3 strips of each about a foot long.  So you will have 6 - 12 strips of Ribbon.

Trim the Ribbon's edge and simply knot around a pony-tail holder.

Super cute and only takes about 5 minutes to dress up any ponytail!!!

The next bow can be as many layers as you would like it to be.  I like the two layer look!  You can add buttons in the middle or just a cute knot.  I will show you both.  Here is a picture of the supplies you will need.  Ribbon (Grosgrain is the easiest to use), Floral Wire, Hair Clips or Alligator Clips, buttons if you would like them, Hot Glue Gun and scissors!

You Loop the bow to look like this.  Then secure the center with Floral Wire.

If you want to add a second color follow the same process of looping only make this bow smaller than the first and secure with floral wire.

I like the knot in the center of the bow.  To do this take about a 6" piece of ribbon and tie in a loose knot.

You will then just tie this knot onto the center of your bow.

Hot Glue your Clip to the Back of the bow and trim the edges.

And your finished!!!  One perfect bow you did not have to spend $15.00 dollars on!!

If you would like to add a button or some other type of center.  Do not tie your center piece into a knot, simply wrap it around the bow flat and tie in the back.  Then hot glue your favorite button to the center!!!
