He's The Man

For My Husband's Birthday this year I decided to throw him a "He's The Man party".   I seen this wonderful idea on karaspartyideas.blogspot.com.
Cory loved He-Man as a kid...  And in general is always trying to get our kids to watch the "Good Old Cartoons" - Needless to say pretty much everyone younger than about 25 had no clue who He-Man is (so sad)!
Cory's birthday falls right around 4th of July Weekend so I like to combine the two special occasions and this idea worked perfect for that!

The Invitation made everyone wonder what we would be doing for the "Competitions" everyone was kept in the dark until they arrived at the party, including the birthday boy!

The Birthday Cake!  I had so much fun shopping for vintage He-Man Stuff.  The Cake Topper was actually an old vintage He-Man Bank  it worked perfect  And easily let me incorporate my Red and Blue theme for the 4th of July also.

The old He-Man Lunch Box and Thurmas were the perfect addition to the display table.

No He man Party is Complete without Sh-Ra and Cute Cupcake Toppers!

For the He's The Man Competitions... I bought the Large Jaw Breakers and put them in Small Mason Jars with a cute bow and Strong Man Candy Label!

The Table Display!

The Jousting Ring I rented from a local Bounce Place.  Tons of Fun!

Who will be "The Man" of Scrabble!  Cory again.....

No 4th of July Party is complete without "Super Hero Fire Work Glasses"!   My kids for the longest time were scared of the big fireworks we would pop on the 4th, until last year... I made the best discovery ever....  Foam Glasses that the kids can decorate themselves and then at fireworks time put on!  Somehow it makes everything all better!
