EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA

EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA

This year for Easter I decided to throw an "eggxciting" Easter Party for my Family and friends.  Living in South Louisiana it was warm enough to have a water party...  So the basic fun and games revolved around playing in the water.

I order these custom baskets from whatchawantdesign
for each of the kids I knew would be attending the party and a couple extras, just in case!

They were a hit!!!  The kids loved the personalization on each of them and it helped everyone keep track of there own baskets.

I made "Easter Treat Bags" for each of the kids as well.  In each of there personalized bags were a bathing suit and flip-flops for the little ones and beach towels and other fun stuff for the older kids.  They loved searching for there own private little present.  This is them hauling in their loot!  :)

I tried to base the majority of the decorations around bunny ears and tails....  I love how the bunny tails turned out...  And to my surprise most of the kids (and some adults :) ) wanted to wear them or at least pretended while they were there!

For the Desert Table we had A Bunny Garden of Peeps,  Peeps Smores, Cupcakes and Cookies...

The Bunny Garden basket made the perfect center piece and super easy to make.  Take your favorite basket add peeps marshmallow bunny's to a stick put foam in the bottom of your basket and cover.  I used Moss to cover mine so it looked more like grass but you could use Easter grass or whatever you have laying around the house.

No Easter Party is complete with out Carrot and Celery cups.  Take clear cups add Ranch dressing to the bottom and add celery and carrots.  The kids loved them and they were easy to carry around on the go.

The Drink Dispensers had an addition of bunny ears and a tail and for drinking glasses I used Mason Cars with a bunny tail glued to the rim.    To make the bunny tails simply glue a cotton ball to a piece of twine! I added Colorful straws to top it off!

I though why should the kids have all the fun at an Easter Party.  So the back yard was set up for everything kid....  Kids Easter Egg Hunt, Kids Treat Baskets, Easter Egg Dying Tent and water activities.

The front yard contained a SURPRISE for the adults.  An adult Easter Egg Hunt.  I decided the easiest most cost effective thing to put in the ADULT EGGS would be Lottery Tickets.  Since I had never even bought a Lottery Ticket before (LOL :)) I figured out how.... and went all in buying a mixture of what the sales girl told me where good deals!

After the kids had hunted for eggs and presents and were settled the adults got straight to it!!!!  This was definitely the highlight of the party for me.  Seeing the adults run around and find Easter Eggs and toss away the ones they though might not be as good as the ones they just found, I had to set a limit per person so everyone got some eggs!  Of course they had there own GOLDEN EGG.  Which in my case was RED since I couldn't find a golden one...  They seemed to love it....  and it gave the adults a little something to do instead of just staring at the kids all afternoon!

The adults (Everyone over 18!  LOL)  scratching there tickets....  My mom seemed to be the big money winner!!!  You can see some of the kids baskets got double duty use from the parents!  :)

This is some of them running the perimeter of the yard to ensure no eggs were missed!  :)

No one missed out on the fun!  Everyone participated!

Some of the Teenagers were even wishing this was there Easter Egg Hunt!  :)

I set up all the Easter Egg dying up outside.....  No reason to have dye dripped and spilled all over the house.  The kids got out of the pool and straight to the dying tent!~  It worked perfect!  I did simple decorations outside as well!  Old Easter Baskets filled with Grass and Plastic Eggs topped with Easter Balloons...  Simple and Cute!

I bought the kids there own Egg Dying Trays to help contain the mess and Plastic Gloves...  I HIGHLY recommend using gloves to dye ALL eggs in the future!!!   They dyed all the eggs they wanted and left them to dry while they enjoyed the sun a little more!   This was definitely a SUPER EASY and FUN party to plan and host!  Everyone left with a Smile and an arm full of goodies!!!  I think this will be added to my annual party events!

Ice Cream and Cupcake Party

What kid does not love ice cream?
This party for Angelle's 6th Birthday was so much fun to decorate
and even more fun to attend!
YUMMY!!   YUMMY!!

The Birthday Invitations were my biggest challenge and ultimately ended up being extremely simple and cute!

The Ice Cream Bar is an essential part of any Ice Cream Party!  I turned my Dining Room into Angelle's Ice Cream Shop!  We had three different flavors of ice cream to choose from and all the toppings you could dream of!

The cake and cupcake toppers were made by WalMart.  They were very accommodating in designing my melted ice cram cone cake I had in my head!  And much cheaper than a specialty bakery!  Cake Topper made special by ME! :)

Brownie Ice Cream Cones made special by Grandma!!!  Simply make a brownie pop and instead of using a stick put it on top of a small ice cram cone!

Decorations were paper balls, balloons and paper Ice Cream Cones I found at Hobby Lobby!

The cake table with presents for the Birthday Girl!

The Birthday Girls hat was made special by Me!  Regular Party Hat from Dollar Tree with Ice Cream Cone and Marabou Glued to it!  A few letters for her name and she had a custom birthday hat!

What better way to end the day, then to let the birthday girl and a few friends have a balloon release!

Candy Land Dream Party

For Angelle's 5th Birthday Party she wanted a Rainbow Party....  After Goggling ideas for a Rainbow Party (which I would not recommend doing that search :) I decided to do a wonderful Candy-Land Party which has all the colors of the Rainbow in it!

The invitation for this party was so fun and bright..  I printed the circle on card stock paper  then glued a stick to the bottom and added some curling ribbon.  Easy and Super Cute.
I wanted this party to be everything candy you could dream of... The first step was to make some edible party arrangements.

This gum ball wreath was the perfect accessory to any wall.
Get a foam wreath, tons of gum drops and tooth picks and stick each gum drop with a toothpick and add to the wreath.  Tie a bow around it for hanging and your done.

 Dum-Dum Topiary

This Topiary made the perfect addition to the food table!  Buy a foam topiary, bags of Dum-Dum suckers (I cut the sucker sticks in half so it was easier to push into the foam) and just push suckers in all over the topiary.  Add a bow and your done!

I added signs around every edible arrangements... so the party guests could be assured that they were edible and to please eat them!

Angelle's outfit was the perfect addition to this party which I purchased at Miss Things Boutique online...  She has every kind of Pettiskirt you can imagine.

The cake was made by a friend of mine.  I think she did a spectacular job bringing everything Candy Land into the cake.

The Desert Table consisted of a Fruit Dray which could be dipped into the chocolate fountain, gummy bears, gumballs, cookies and more.

My mom made these cute edible cupcakes and ice cream cones.   The oversized cupcakes are made out of rice crispy treats and frosted with your favorite frosting.

Lollipops!  Big and Small are easy to make and add there extra special look to your party!
My sister in law made these using round Styrofoam she covered with cellophane and add a wooden stick and Curling Ribbon!

To make the perfect candy!  Blow up a balloon wrap cellophane around it tie each end with curing ribbon!!!  Perfectly Cute Candy!

This party was so much fun and the kids loved every part of it.  We had fun games outside a candy land path through the house and a candy shop for the kids to put together there own thank you bags....

This video is just a small look at all the fun I had putting this party together!
