Connorsaurus Dinosaur Party

This party was so much fun to plan and put together.....  I pulled ideas from so many wonderful blogs... I honestly don't remember...  Connor had an amazing time with his friends.  This party required a lot of planning ahead but in the end made the party perfect!

It started with the Invitation.....  CUTE....  A little work required... but worth the effort to see the kids faces when we gave them the invitation.

All The Parties Detailed were printed and tied to Dinosaur Bones "Dog Treats" and the top of the bog asked them to Dig in for Details.  Depending on how much you don't want the parents to like you will determine what you put in the box.  Many of the ideas I saw said to use sand, I decided on Green Easter Basket Paper.

Next Task was to make the Dinosaur Bone out of Plaster of Paris.  I ordered the molds on line.  The Dinosaur Bones would be used in the Dinosaur Dig at the birthday party but each set took a whole night of curing time.  So though it didn't take long to pour the molds it did take days to make the bones to allow the bones to dry.

The "DIG SITE" was originally planned to be in the back yard, but mother nature had other plans.  No problem "Dig Site" moved to the garage and actually I think worked much better because it was not as hot!  Started with a tent added some fabric to block the junk in the garage and a plastic swimming pool was lined with a painters drop cloth to provide the brown dirt look.  next the bones were added along with dinosaur eggs (Easter eggs I picked up in April) and small plastic dinosaurs.  A few bags of sand were used to cover all the items and the "Dig" was ready. A few of the outside potted plants were moved into the garage for added ambiance and the perfect jungle was created.

As the friends started arriving they were made into archeologists with hats, binoculars and other party favors....

Next was the cake!  My favorite part of the whole party.  I found the perfect cake online and found the perfect bake shop in "A CAKE TO REMEMBER" and they graciously accepted the challenge of building my dinosaur.

It was the center piece of the dessert table and turned exactly as I had visioned.

I made "Dinosaur Eggs" by using paper meche, balloons, and brown spray paint.  They made the perfect decorating accessory.

I used blow up dinosaur's threw out the house and made "Dinosaur Crossing Signs" to complete the look!

Treats Consisted of Chocolate covered marshmallows with Rocks "Rock Candy"!

Volcano Bites and Prehistoric Cookies.

This party was so much fun to plan and Connor could not have been happier.  Everyone left with a smile on their face and a new found love for Dinosurs.
